Description

A. General Accounting Support

  • Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Perform initial checks of invoices, billing statements, and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Help address routine vendors and internal inquiries regarding payment status, invoice discrepancies, or documentation needs.
  • Prepare and maintain basic accounting schedules and reports.
  • Manage the month-end closing process by:
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Create journal entries
  • Prepare reconciliations and schedules
  • Maintain organized and updated financial files and records.
  • Assist in generating BIR Forms such as 2307 as assigned.
  • Review payroll computations, process final pays, including computation of prorated salaries, benefits, unused leaves, government‑mandated contributions, and applicable withholding taxes.
  • Ensure payroll related accounts are accurate and consistently updated across payroll, tax, and accounting records.
  • Coordinate closely with the Treasury team regarding payment schedules and documentation.
  • Help prepare audit schedules and provide support during internal or external audits.
  • Assist in the implementation of improved accounting processes and internal controls.

B. Compliance and Reporting Support

  • Preparation and filing of tax returns (e.g. VAT, EWT, CWT etc.)
  • Support the submission of financial reportorial requirements for BIR, SEC, BOI, LGU, etc.
  • Maintain organized tax records and assist in responding to basic inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Research changes in accounting or tax regulations and summarize findings for management.
  • Participate in internal compliance checks to ensure adherence to relevant laws and company policies.

C. Asset Management Assistance

  • Ensure recording newly acquired assets and update the fixed asset register.
  • Assist in monitoring ongoing projects for proper tagging into fixed asset accounts.
  • Support the reconciliation of fixed asset records with the general ledger.
  • Prepare basic schedules related to asset depreciation and disposals.
  • Participate in periodic physical inventory counts and assist in documenting results. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. (Preferably a CPA) or 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team.
